[2015.10.14] Ansan City SMEs Get Green Light for Russian Market Entry

Ansan City SMEs received a green light for entering the Russian market. The city dispatched a trade mission to Russia for six days, achieving $21.636 million in on-site export consultations and $7.306 million in potential contract amounts.

The Russian trade mission comprised 7 promising local SMEs including Dudrim Co., Mirae LED Co., Bando Hoist Crane Co., Aners Co., and S-Marine System Co. The mission was hosted by Ansan City and organized by the Gyeonggi SME Support Center and KOTRA (St. Petersburg and Novosibirsk trade offices).

The Russian region, including CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) countries, represents a massive consumer market of approximately 300 million people with unlimited market opportunities. Novosibirsk, Russia's logistics hub, and St. Petersburg, the country's second-largest city and business hub of the northwest region, were identified as areas with particularly high market development potential.
