[2006.10.18] EPIC Systems to Supply Fingerprint Recognition System to Samsung Electronics' Slovak Subsidiary

EPIC Systems (CEO Lee Wan-seob), a biometric solution company, announced on the 18th that it will supply an advanced fingerprint recognition system to Samsung Electronics' Slovak subsidiary.

EPIC's fingerprint recognition security system is a solution that receives registered fingerprints from delivery company employees and verifies their identity. Samsung Electronics adopted this system as a countermeasure against increasingly sophisticated criminal methods, including forgery of ID cards, uniforms, and vehicles.

EPIC Systems CEO Lee Wan-seob stated, "Fingerprint-based security is already widely utilized abroad. With this entry into Slovakia as a stepping stone, we will promote the excellence of Korean IT to logistics centers worldwide."
